Description:
In this second-level class will cover the process of creating a final professional audio edit and mix ready for film, tv, or web distribution. This class covers advanced audio editing in the realm of video and film, spotting music to image, professional mixing, and noise reduction, and focuses strongly on bridging video editing systems like Final Cut Pro or Avid with Pro Tools.
 
Objectives:
1. Noise Reduction Techniques
2. Know how to spot sounds and music to specific locations in the timeline
3. Create submixes for bus processing and mix organization
4. Apply audio effects and know how to automate/control these effects over time
5. Gain experience sweetening and cleaning up poor production/location sound
6. Export your project in the proper forms for video sync
7. Intro to 5.1 mixing
